It wasn't exactly love at first sight, but Delray Beach residents Josh and Harriet Kalin fell in love with a unique paddle sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, racketball and table tennis, a game that few people in southeastern Florida had ever heard of.
Now, two years later, the Kalins have become the pied pipers of pickleball. With their nurturing of the sport, play is now offered at sites from West Palm Beach to Boca Raton.
