WHAT IS Pickleball, you ask?
Pickleball is one of the fastest growing Sports in America today. Across the country, more and more people are playing; young and old getting involved and having loads of fun. Whether getting involved for a great cardio workout, as an attempt to stay in shape, or to compete against others in age-level or skill-level tournaments , the game of Pickleball can help you stay active and healthy while providing endless hours of social entertainment, fun, and enjoyment.
The newly formed Peachtree Fayette Sports Alliance, along with the Peachtree City Convention and Visitors Bureau are partnering together with the Peachtree City Tennis Center and putting together a fun-filled day planned around this popular new sports craze. The day’s activities will include a demonstration, free play, a complimentary lunch and an opportunity for round robin play.
PIckleball can be played on a tennis court that has been converted to the dimensions of a PIckleball court. The playing field is smaller, and doubles is the preferred format; equating to less impact on the knees and joints than a normal tennis game.
Anyone interested in participating in the workshop can sign up simply by calling either the Peachtree City CVB at 678-216-0282 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling the Peachtree City Tennis Center at 770-486-9474. There is no charge, and participants are asked to wear tennis shoes and bring a paddle if they have one. Extra paddles will be available for those who do not own one. The workshop begins at 10 a.m. See you on the Pickleball court!
