As you approached the courts, the display case welcomed you with notices of the event, and Louann's creative pickleball characters. After you registerd for the day, you received your goodie bag. She always makes sure there is plenty of water, and snacks to give you energy during the day. Before you made it to the court area, you had to stop at the awards table. This year creative medals were displayed on key rings, and the back displayed the event name and date. Pickleball Fever ribbons would be presented to the high scorers today. And then you saw it...........The Tatoo Parlor. As the day progressed and you passed a player you looked at their arm... Poudly displayed was either the Pickleball Bug, or the Pickleball Fever Paddle!. What a hoot!!
The event draws a good crowd of players from around the area, but this year was an exception. There was some great competition between the guys from Kings Point( Artie and Gary) and the guys from Solavita,(Steve and Bob) in neighboring Polk County. Some of the players from nearby Sun City Pickleball Club came to play, and brought their own cheerleaders - complete with signs and pom poms to cheer on Clyde and Don. The ladies from Ft. Myers and Solavita brough their 'gold medal' play to the courts, for some very challenging ladies doubles. Ft. Lauderdale Ambassadors, Nancy Meyer and Cindy Eddleman joined in on the fun as did Rich and Donna Donald, Ambassadors from Wesley Chapel.

The pictures above tells the whole story. The weather cooperated. Well - It didn't rain, but the temperature passed 90 degrees and the humidity was even higher than that.
