We had a wonderful time recently playing with some of the players from Louisville, Kentucky, who came to visit our campground and, of course, the beautiful Smoky Mountains. We had some fun and exciting matches and I am pleased to announce that everyone played great pickleball. However, the best part of the story is that the men decided to take on the women and although I know they will hate to admit it, the women triumphed over them (more than once)
Ron and Joan from Louisville, Kentucky are just beginners at the game but you could not tell that from their outstanding game. Charlie and Fran played like the seasoned players that they are. Needless to say we all got a great workout and lots of social sharing. Now, we are planning a tournament where Louisville, Kentucky meets Robbinsville, North Carolina, sort of speak, hopefully we can all come together for some fun and excitement in the Smokys.
It is truly fantastic to be able to enjoy this great sport with wonderful people.
