I know - What am I doing featuring an article from VA? Well , I know that Chesapeake Bay is not in the Atlantic South Region, but when I read the article I saw some very familiar faces.
Ken and Faye(we always call her Faye with and "E") Eubank are well known in ALL Thousand Trail RV Parks for their promotion of Pickleball. Their winters are generally spent here in the Atlantic South Region either at the Thousand Trails Park near Orlando, or at the Thousand Trails Park in Wauchulla, Fl, better known as Peace River. I remember the first year that we learned to play pickleball at Thousand Trails, Wauchulla. Ken and Faye had a happy hour one afternoon for all the pickleball players were all new players (like Rich and I) were officially pickled! Ken and Faye always give new players to the game a pickle pin once they have recited the Pickleball Creed -( I promise to alway promote the game!!! ) As I read through the article I saw a couple more familiar faces, specifically PAG (Rich) and Dee Pagliaro. They are residents of Florida and members of the Meadow Pointe pickleball club in Wesley Chapel, Fl. They have been up in Maine for the summer - must be the're making their way back south. The Thousand Trails parks across the courtry are great promoters of Pickleball............and our park here in Wauchulla is resurfacing their two courts for us this winter.
