Residents Gear up For Pickleball Championship

THE VILLAGES — Pickleball pros will swing into action at the second annual Villages Pickleball Championship.

Men’s and women’s doubles will be held June 11-12 at Lake Miona Recreation Center, followed by mixed doubles June 18-19 at Bacall Recreation Center. Games begin at 7:30 a.m.
Due to pickleball’s ever-increasing popularity in Florida’s Friendliest Hometown, Villagers turned out in large numbers to sign up for this year’s tournament, according to recreation facilities manager Lynda Feustel.
